Internet of "Just Janitor Things"
I suspect these are simple bluetooth low energy beacons. Will find out more on my next visit. I have to wonder about the cost-benefit of these. It seems like you should already have a regular schedule for cleaning. So that leaves out-of-band events. Seems like a sign with a phone number for call/text would have worked as well...

I've seen gas station restrooms with a regular light switch that perform the same task. Flip the light switch and a light goes on in the back room alerting the staff.
Do so after your business, to prevent unforeseeable things.
Nit: It looks like sliding left is red. But a great idea, bathrooms aren't often cleaned after the necessary one-off events.
