That's a really great site, thanks for sharing. I know that folks are concerned -- and rightly so -- about rents going if tech companies move over here, but I'd say the positives far outweigh the negatives.  Welcome to the sunny side, Clef!

Yep, very true... but I'm still of the mindset that Oakland needs all the income it can get, and if the price of that is an increase in rents, well...

Then again, I'm not renting, so it's easy for me to say that. :P

Didn't mean to turn the discussion about the Oakland.is site into a forum on housing prices. That site has a lot of other interesting bits, such as when the writers realize that moving here means less focus on VC funding & more emphasis on product quality & usability. Well worth a read.
