Somehow competing with WAIS at the time, but gopher was my favourite. But I guess those times are now really gone, Chrome does not support the 'gopher' URL scheme.
Such a shame... Gopher and telnet (Cern.ch) saved my live when no real internet access where possible but telnet was :)

Seeing that I married into the Gopher nation (the new stadium is awesome BTW) the first thing my wife would tell me is that the gopher is the wrong color :)
That plastic looks like it could be easily painted to make the right color (whatever that is).
